AS A MOVING CONTRACTOR, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • The satisfaction of all our clients
  • The smooth operation of all moves
  • The safety and professionalism of your crew
  • The safety of clients’ possessions and homes
  • The logistics of the job (e.g., paperwork, getting truck ready)
  • Delegating crew positions (e.g., packing the truck, wrapping art, disassembling furniture, helping park the truck)
  • Being the first point of contact with the client
  • Conducting the walk-through before and after the move (and get paperwork signed)
  • Timekeeping (e.g., ensuring sufficient time to get to next job)
  • Checking that all equipment is adequate for the job.
  • Ensuring that all debris is cleared away out of truck.
  • Following orders from and staying in regular contact with the the moving coordinators, operation managers and owners.
  • Report all incidents to moving coordinators and managers.
  • Conduct on-site assessments and properly document and create estimates
  • Work with operation managers to assist with training new staff
  • Commitment to provide a high level of customer service
  • Available to work flexible shifts Monday to Saturday, and occasionally Sundays
  • Professional, punctual, and reliable
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Friendly, positive, and outgoing

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

  • Be 21 or older
  • Own a 14-24′ truck
  • Valid driver's license
  • $1M General liability insurance
  • Have a standard checking account.
  • Clean-cut appearance
  • Experience working with hand tools
  • Previous moving experience an asset
  • Physically fit – must be able to lift 100 lbs.
  • Energetic and positive attitude; critical thinking skills
  • A must: Friendly and professional customer service skills
  • Interested in growing with our company
  • No criminal record or convictions
  • Smart phone with internet is a requirement
